Need a Full Leader for trip to Walden Pond

Postby shipinabottle on Tue Mar 24, 2009 12:07 pm

Hey, I'm hoping to lead a day trip to Walden Pond and other thoreau related sites in Concord, Mass (75 miles from UNH). I'm just a co-leader so am looking for a full leader to join me and TJ, who is gonna AL. Thinking about doing the trip Sunday May 3rd. We'd get breakfast, drive to Walden Pond State Reservation, check out the stuff there, wander the trails of the reservation, have a picnic lunch, and check out other things in the area (such as Thoreau's birth home, cemetery, other things I figure out). Then we'd come back.

Anyway, if you're a fellow transcendentalist, let me know if you're interested in leading.

Hello my fellow transcendentalist! As much as I love Thoreau and the idea that NHOC is taking a trip to the >gasp< Flatlands (go MA!) I think I'll have to pass. I have a huge term paper due right after the weekend, and I'm worried that I won't have it done--I don't want to commit and then bail out on you guys at the last minute. Sorry I can't be of help, I wish I could go--good luck!

no problem. I think Jill B is planning on leading. We actually got some participants at signups last night, so that was good.
